For the first time in over five years, PokerStars’ celebrated live tournaments will once again set down on American soil.
The first-ever PokerStars Festival in New Jersey will run from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City.
Over 50 different gaming events will be on tap, ranging from tournaments to meet & greets with Team PokerStars Pro.
New Jersey will mark the debut of the new PokerStars Festival series, which is focused more on recreational players than the high-end PokerStars Championship.
Somerville, Negreanu Confirmed to Play
PokerStars is plugging the New Jersey Festival as “The Ultimate Gaming Experience” with numerous tournaments, daily jackpot prizes, special activities for VIP players and more.
A massive contingent of Team PokerStars Pro will be on hand for the debut festival including heavy hitters Daniel Negreanu, Jason Somerville, Chris Moneymaker, Jason Mercier, Vanessa Selbst and Fatima Moreira De Melo.
Professional poker players won’t be the only celebs on hand as Survivor alums Boston Rob and Tyson Apostol will also join in.
The crown jewel of the tournament series will be $1,100 buy-in Main Event that runs from Nov. 1-5.
“We are thrilled to bring the first-ever PokerStars Festival to New Jersey,” said PokerStars director of live events Edgar Stuchly.
“This will be the first live event we have sponsored in the United States since PokerStarsNJ.com launched in 2016 and we look forward to seeing everyone at PokerStars Festival New Jersey for an action-packed poker vacation.”
There will be plenty of activities besides poker and there will be a designated StarsFun area with miniature golf, arcade basketball and pinball competitions.
Qualifiers Now Running on PokerStars.nj
PokerStars.nj is already running a number of qualifiers for PokerStars Festival NJ tournaments. To celebrate, PokerStars.nj is also giving players a chance to win a ticket into the $1,100 Main Event.
To qualify you have to play in at least five special NJCOOP tournaments. You’ll then receive a ticket to the All-in Shootout.
Each of the five All-In Shootouts will award four $1,100 Main Event seats.
